Isn't it difficult sometimes?

Ever found it hard to be thankful for government sometimes? I find it hard a lot of times. All the immorality that is being committed in our country, and a select few people wanting to make it all legal by amending the constitution. That is why I'm so passionate about Christians standing up for their faith and praying for a godly Christian man to be raised up to lead this country. Sometimes that does not happen, but the Lord knows what he is doing.

Remember Romans 13, "Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves" (vs. 1-2). God puts rulers in place by his perfect ordinance. Even though we may not be pleased with some of the people in government, it is our responsibility as Christians to respect the governing authorities. We need to live our lives in such a way that even the rulers of will see the light of Christ in us. John Piper caught my attention with these thoughts.

So are you thankful for government?

Have the lights turned on?
